6 Ways to Give Back this Season

Tis’ the Season for giving! Giving this season is a great way to spread a little holiday magic to those around you. Here are 6 unconventional ways to give back this holiday season that could have a huge impact.

Your time. Time is a valuable commodity these days. We all live such busy lives that we underestimate the value of giving our time. Try babysitting for a friend. You never know the impact of giving them a little extra time for themselves.

Your money. It has become almost second nature to hope online to make our purchases, but let’s not forget about the local businesses in our backyards. Supporting the small businesses in our community could have a major impact on them and keep them going for years to come.

Your excess. This one is super easy because you don’t even have to leave your home to do it. Take stock of the items in your home that are no longer serving you; toys, clothes, appliances, and allow them to find a new purpose with someone else.

Your skills. Did you know that during the holidays that people need help writing thank you cards. This is a great way to give back that even the kids could get involved in.

Your thoughts. We often hear the phrase: It’s the thought that counts”, and we couldn’t agree more. Sometimes just letting others know that you are thinking about them during this busy season is a great way to spread a little love this season.

Your generosity. Have you ever had a meal paid for by a total stranger? If you have, you know just how inspiring that could be for you to continue that act of kindness. Whatever the act of kindness is, it is a great way to give this season.
